Building permit is done!!!

Rang Burbank today to see howe it was all going and they said the permit is back approved, and they should be starting in about a week from now!

This is so exciting now, it's becoming real!

Bricks & tiles

We went past an Austral display and decided to go have a look at a big version of our bricks and roof tiles on the weekend, I think they will look great

The tiles are the charcoal shingle style ones, I love them!

The red tile is about the colour of the redwood paint on the verandah piers so I think the colours will look great together

Finance is done!

We got our final finance approval so we can relax abit now! (not that there was any doubt but it's nice to have it on paper!)

Time to start thinking about selling the unit, we will put it on the market once the slab is poured, so maybe 6-8 weeks away, scary stuff!

Contracts done!

Well we signed the contracts, and now they say about a month worth of work and they will start.
The developers approval is done so just got to get the council stuff done. Have paid our first deposit.

Have sent the contract in to the bank and should hear by the end of next week for final approval, after valuation. It's all happening now!

Still haven't heard back from the fence people

Got our contracts! WOO HOO!!!! Not that I understand that much of them!

Have applied again for pre approval on the construction loan so we can take that in with us to the contract signing next Wed, 9/5

Also received a fence quote for the side fence on the other side, will have to contact them as we want the fence to be taller (we want 1.9m) and I would like them to match the price of the other fence people as they are cheaper but I'm sure it will be easily sorted out. The quote is also only for the fence to the garage not forward of the garage, so we will have to get that done later

ETA have rung fence people and they said an extra $4/m for us to have a taller fence and they will ring me back to let me know if they can match the other quote

Contracts are coming.............

Rang Burbank to find out when we would be getting our contracts and they had lost our file! They assured me that they would get onto it ASAP, and would express post them out on Thurs.

I'm glad I rang or we could have been waiting a while for them to realise

House front and yard plans

The colour samples on canvases, 3 external colours and the light one is the internal wall colour. We are going to use the 3 external colours for the internal feature walls as they go together nicely
