Full deposit on land

Mum went down to deliver the rest of the deposit on the land, as due to the way the mortgage is set up we couldn't do it through the bank. At least it all got sorted and now there's no turning back, we are buying a block of land!

Painting the unit

We spent the long weekend painting our unit to increase the value for when we sell it. We also put down some rocks and things and made the front look a bit prettier! It's looking so good I don't want to leave!

PRE APPROVAL!!!

We got preapproval for the mortgage so looks like this is going to happen!!!!

Told everyone at work now that it's a little more final, just need to have some bank valuations done now

Signed up for the house

Went to the display house and picked all our extras, taller doors, added rear roller door to garage, aircon, driveway, double sliding doors in the family room, downlights, etc, etc,

Oh and paid them some money too lol

We also had a real estate valuation which came back even better than we had hoped, so we are thrilled

Applied for new mortgage

We sent off our application for our 2nd mortgage today

Hopefully will hear back soon

Deposit on land paid!

Went down to the land office and paid our deposit and singed all the contracts for the land and settlement for the 15/3/07

Then we went to visit the Display house and let the sales guy know that we wanted to come back and sign up for the house. He said if we paid a deposit by the Sunday we could get an extra package with ducted vaccuum, remote gagrage door opener, flyscrens and a dishwasher, so that was great and we made an appointment

Also visited our bank to enquire about a mortgage to pay for all of this! lol

We found a house and a block

We found a display house that we had to have! It's called the Bluebird and it's built by Burbank

The sales man told us about an estate around where we want to be so we went to have a look, and we found the perfect block for us! 512m, 16nx32 metres so fits the house perfectly and within our price range.

After freaking out a bit, we put our name down on it, and have to give them a small deposit tomorrow night
