Our first fence!

We got our first fence quote yesterday!
Only prob is that it’s the side of our garage so it won't be a full fence, but they don't realise that
Will have to ring them and let them know, eeek scary ringing people I don't know, but I guess we'll soon be living next to them so I have to meet them eventually

Ok, have rung our new neighbour, and she is really nice, they also have dogs, so that is great! I am very excited now

Also spoke to the fence builders and have sent them the siteplan so they can redo the quote for the fence, to make space for the builders to be able to build the garage

Waiting for call from the builders tender dept today, to make our tender appointment, hope it is soon, I can't wait

Soil Test Results

Found out today we have a new contact at the builders, she seems to be ok though and said we are about 1 week away from making our tender appointment

Also found out tat our soil tests came back H-HD with some rock, which could be up to $8K more, but I guess it's not too bad in the long run

Rang the land developer and they are sending me the compaction reports for the fill so we can make sure that the soil test takes it into consideration

SETTLEMENT DAY

After being pushed back a day, today is settlement day, 2:30pm, I got a call at about 3pm letting me know it had all gone through

We celebrated by getting take away dinner and taking the dogs down there to have dinner, then we went for a walk around the estate, and in the park which is just a few houses down from us :)

Last week we finally got a list of houses from the sales guy, the same as our house, but already under construction, so we could check them out
They were all about an hours drive away and once we got there they were a completely different house, so we rang him at dinner time to let him know
Was annoying but what can you do but laugh really, no point getting upset

Turns out they haven't built any of our house in the last 12 months, which is weird???

Loan Contracts

Well after the loan contracts being sent to the wrong address and then them being for the wrong type of loan we finally got the right ones and we have sent them off, all signed, and we will soon own a piece of dirt!!!!
